Hello, I’m Susanne Currid of The Loop. I am a strategic marketing consultant who works with SMEs and serial entrepreneurs in the UK’s vibrant food & drink, lifestyle and hospitality sectors.

I offer Sales & Marketing strategy development workshops, coaching and planning services that are designed to help small and ambitious businesses to maximise the impact of their Sales & Marketing activities.

It’s my mission to help you avoid wasting your limited time and resources on inappropriate and ineffective strategies across digital, business-to-business and consumer channels.

Unlike specialist freelancers or agencies who may fail to take a more holistic view of your business, I work with you to see the bigger picture first. Then we work together to develop a more targeted and agile plan for growth.

Typically I work with business owners for 6 months or more, meeting monthly online to formulate and review objectives, strategies and tactics. Sessions are often supported with my kit of interactive white board tools that help focus and accelerate strategic planning with both individuals and teams.

To start with I offer a real world view of your brand strengths and weaknesses.  Then I help you to get laser focused on your point of difference,  your business advantages and the challenges or knowledge gaps you need to deal with to create success. These workshops are delivered with the support of powerful tools such as the Business Model Canvas and the Value Proposition Canvas.

As a digital specialist, I help you get to grips with the complex and wide-ranging online marketing opportunity.  I work with you to identify, shape and roadmap the activities that impact the growth and viability of your venture.  

My joined-up approach supports ecommerce, distributor and trade sales helping you to harness powerful digital tools, platforms and on- and off-line working practices that will accelerate your growth.

Acting as a sounding board across a range of opportunities and challenges, I provide impartial, honest and respectful feedback as you consider your next moves.

Susanne’s work with us at Nirvana Brewery was brilliant. About Susanne Currid

Over 25 years, Susanne has built a strong track record devising and implementing Sales & Marketing strategies for fast-growth SMEs across several sectors. In more recent years, led by her love of vibrant food & drink experiences, she’s focused increasingly on supporting craft drinks and hospitality brands.

Her business experience ranges from start-up digital agency director to Global Head of Digital Marketing.

Previous to founding The Loop, Susanne developed her marketing expertise in the central London agency world working with brands such as Channel 4, Sony Entertainment, Deutsche Bank, Johnson & Johnson, Cushman & Wakefield Global Real Estate in addition to hundreds of smaller businesses.  Simultaneously, during this period she pursued new business opportunities on behalf of the agencies she worked with, targeting and securing six figure contracts with many leading players in banking, property, entertainment and technology.  

In September 2013, she published Build Your Tribe – the new marketing manifesto for restaurants, bars and cafes.  Since its publication, her book ranked for several years as one of the top listed books for bar and restaurant marketing on Amazon UK.   Susanne has also appeared as a marketing Expert Judge on the final of The Apprentice on BBC1 in December 2017.

Susanne is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and a founder/associate of The Business of Drinks. She is a previous part-time lecturer in Marketing specialising in Customer Experience.

Beyond the day job, Susanne enjoys cooking, exploring new food & drink experiences, qi gong, yoga, travel, art and photography which you'll catch her sharing regularly on Instagram.
